Mana points are used to level up your elemental magic in whatever realm you are in. While leveing up, you have the choice of choosing a defensive or an offensive ability. Once you have unlocked one or the other, you can't get the opposite one for that level. For example you can't have the defensive and offensive ability for level 3. However you can have the offensive level 2 ability and the defensive level 3 ability. But it must be up to the level you unlocked with MP. For example if you have 100 MP in the Fire Realm, you have unlocked you choice of Flamethrower or Fire Wall and your choice of one magic per level under that. If your character leaves the fire realm though, they no longer have those skills. However, should they join another realm, they can instantly choose their magic for each level up to the level they currently have unlocked. If your character leaves fire though, and joins back into fire, they keep the same abilities that they had unlocked before. When unlocking a new level, please make sure to fill out the form in the updates page to be able to unlock your magic and let staff log your information.

You're character can rechoose a level though but it must be done through intense training. To be able to accomplish this, your character must find someone willing to teach them the opposite type of magic for that level and train 3 times (3+ post per thread) to be able to successfully swap that level. Once the training is finished, you must head over to the updates page to let staff know so they can update your information. Keep in mind that if your character reaches a level and you choose an ability for that level, if you spend some of your MP and end up below that level, you can't use that leveled ability until you gain enough MP to unlock that same level again. However you must keep the ability that you choose initially.

But there is another choice for anyone who either doesn't want to be in a realm and still wants magic, or just wants to have their own little set of skills. These are what are called Individual Magics. Those can be bought here with MP and will remove it from your total Mana. Below is more information about each type of magic. Please read over the rules for more information about mana and how to use it correctly.
