Winsera is a semi-realistic elemental based animal roleplay. This means that the animals act and move like any normal animal in the world. This also means that there are no humans in Winsera, they will not be found, or played and no human made structures can be found. However that doesn't mean there won't be some strange structures that were formed by the Deities. Most of the magic on Winsera is elemental based and realm centered. This means that each realm has an element and an elemental Deity to go with it. Inside each realm there are three territories for three different Kingdoms that can be claimed by anyone who wishes to be leader. All three kingdoms inside that realm will have that corresponding magic. For example, all three kingdoms in the Fire realm will have the ability to use fire magic. This doesn't mean that all three of the kingdoms inside that realm must be allied, it only means that they are neighbors and are in no way connected. Once a creature is accepted into a kingdom, they will feel a strange pressure on their shoulder (which side is up to the roleplayer) and a mark from their realm will appear on their shoulder, peaking out from any fur, scales or feathers they may have. Each realm icon can be found on the Realms list to the left. They will find that this mark wont be able to be covered up and will peak out through even the thickest fur. The best way to tell the difference between two different kingdoms in the same realm? Scent. No two kingdoms will smell the same even if the differences are small. Should your character leave the realm or get removed from a realm, the mark and powers are gone as well. However if you leave a kingdom for another in the same realm, the mark will remain on your shoulder.
This section is for your character name, not your out of character name (OOC) as there is a special section on your profile where that will go. If you don't know what name to use for your character we suggest babycenter.com or parents.com for ideas.
Here on Winsera, we allow members to make characters based off of any real life animal. However, since there are so many animals throughout the world, we have come up with a list of different animals and the sizes in which they can be on the site. Below is a list of the types of species we currently have listed on our site. If you have an animal you want that isn't listed, simply follow the instuctions on the Species Page to be able to add your own animal.
Species
Here on Winsera, characters age in seasonal increments (.25, .50, .75). If your charcter is 3 seasons old, their age would be .75 while if they are 4 years and three seasons their age would be entered as 4.75 years. 2 years is the age of maturity meaning that lion's manes are fully grown, all creatures are adults and can challenge for kingdoms, hold council ranks and have children. Note that Heir and Scions are the only countil ranks that can be held by creatures under the age of 2 years. For more information about creatures and their ages, please visit the Growths and Developments page.
Use the following table to help you determine what your birth season is based on your current age. For example if it is currently summer and your character starts out at 2.75 years, their birth season would be fall.
year interval | .25 interval | .50 interval | .75 interval |
---|---|---|---|
Current Season | Previous Season | Opposite Season | Next Season |
We require 7+ sentenses on your appearance before you can be accepted. Winsera is a semi-realistic site, which means that we do not allow strange fur color such as blue, pink, purple, ect. We do however offer a few mutations to give your character a slight change from normal, which are listed below.
partial or complete melanism (darker fur then usual)
partial or complete albinism (lighter fur then usual)
curled tail (canines only)
floppy ears (canines only)
short or lack of fur
short or lack of tail (will have IC consequences)
up to 4 total eye colors
Though we have those mutations available, please keep the following in mind.

Here on Winsera, we allow quite a bit of creative wiggle room but just a reminder that we are still a semi-realistic site. This means that the base colorations for the creatures should always be taken in effect. If you can find an image of that creature with the base color you are using, then it is more then likely acceptable. As stated above we also allow partial to full albinism and melanism, though only one or the other, not both.
When your character has multiple different markings, keep in mind that the boudaries between two different coat colors should be slightly 'feathered', or meld into each other rather than sudden hard lines. They will almost always be fairly random in shape and specific shapes such as a heart or a star are not allowed unless given to the character by a Deity.
Eyes can be any color or any combinations of four total colors. Pupils can not be oddly shaped unless there has been damage to the eye resulting in loss of vision.

Each build has their own advantages and disadvantages both inside and outside of combat. In combat, Bulky body types are heavier and stronger than average types. Average types are also stronger and bulkier than slim. And, slim types are faster and more agile than bulky types. This means that Bulky gets +1 point over Average, Average gets +1 point over Slim and Slim gets +1 point over Bulky.
Just like the appearance, the personality needs to be at least 7 sentences long. Because personality is such a large topic, we allow you to be as creative as you want. If you wish to create a murderous mouse, go ahead. Anything you can create, we will accept.
Mana points are used to level up your elemental magic in whatever realm you are in. While leveing up, you have the choice of choosing a defensive or an offensive ability. Once you have unlocked one or the other, you can't get the opposite one for that level. For example you can't have the defensive and offensive ability for level 3. However you can have the offensive level 2 ability and the defensive level 3 ability. But it must be up to the level you unlocked with MP. For example if you have 50 MP in the Fire Realm, you have unlocked you choice of Fireball or Smokescreen and your choice of one magic per level under that. If your character leaves the fire realm though, they no longer have those skills. However, should they join another realm, they can instantly choose their magic for each level up to the level they currently have unlocked. If your character leaves fire though, and joins back into fire, they keep the same abilities that they had unlocked before.
You're character can rechoose a level though but it must be done through intense training. To be able to accomplish this, your character must find someone willing to teach them the opposite type of magic for that level and train 3 times (3+ post per thread) to be able to successfully swap that level. But there is another choice for anyone who either doesn't want to be in a realm and still wants magic, or just wants to have their own little set of skills. These are what are called Individual Magic. Those can be bought here with MP and will remove it from your total Mana. For more information about each type of magic, visit out Magic Page here. Please read over the rules for more information about mana and how to use it correctly.
